About the Artist

ANNE BOLLING BIO 

Coming back to painting full time, Anne previously worked in the Design, Product Development and Marketing fields for the commercial and residential design markets.

As a designer she worked on hotels, restaurants, showrooms and residential projects in both the US and abroad. She also developed award winning furniture for the architectural and design community. 

Though trained in oils, Anne is presently working in acrylics and mixed media on both hand made paper and linen, which allows her an outlet for immediacy of expression. Contrasting elements in color and  design are also used to depict tension and movement within the composition. Additional interest is created with expressive brush strokes and gestural markings that can describe a turbulent sky or a soothing water reflection. 

Inspired by nature and music, she plays on the elements of memory ….using evocative color and light that triggers emotions captured in time and place

Anne invites you to  come back and explore the imagery from a variety of experiences. She asks the viewer to reflect on the nuanced emotions reflected in her art.
